Genesis Cooks Hill Daily Step Club
Looking for a safe, social, and weather-proof way to stay active? Genesis Cooks Hill has launched the Daily Step Club—a welcoming initiative designed especially for seniors, but open to all ages.
Every morning from 7am to 9am, members of the public are invited to use the indoor running track upstairs at Genesis for a casual walk, no membership required. It’s the perfect alternative for those who love a morning stroll but want to avoid the cold or rain.
Getting started is simple: just check in at reception, fill out a quick waiver, collect a special Daily Step Club lanyard, and walk at your own pace. Participants can even log their kilometres on the club’s progress tracker at reception to monitor their journey.
After your walk, why not enjoy a coffee and chat with friends at the on-site café?
Whether you’re keeping active, making new connections, or just looking for a warm place to walk—Genesis Cooks Hill’s Daily Step Club is a great way to start the day.

Heartmoves Session Video
The Heart Foundation’s Heartmoves program was a game-changer in the world of delivering safe exercise to people with or at risk of chronic disease. The ActiveStrongerBetter Project is taking this work and re-introducing these fun, social, safe, low-moderate intensity exercise programs back into the community through the training and support of Fitness Professionals.
Some of our ASB Team are the original crew involved in the development of the Heartmoves program and still have fond memories of the home-based DVD. With the kind permission of the National Heart Foundation, we are happy to share this session with you. If you would like to do this at home – it is recommended you speak with your GP first.
